With respect to physically travelling abroad, it is a unique experience to be immersed in a completely brand-new environment surrounded by fresh sensations. Only through visiting another country can a person truly begin to understand the culture, customs and traditions of the local people. Interacting with locals in a face-to-face setting, visiting world-famous landmarks, sampling delectable dishes as well as seeing the fantastic scenery with ones own eyes abroad form an invaluable experience that can ensure that visitors create lasting and unforgettable memories.

The depth and breadth of television shows and webpages nowadays is vast, allowing users to easily access information about almost any inhabited place on earth. Furthermore, it is more convenient to surf the web or turn on the tube and select the most useful videos, photos and articles about a desired destination without leaving the comfort of ones home. Moreover, learning about other nations online or through the media can save huge costs for flights, accommodations and transportation as well as time taken off from school or work in order to visit places abroad.

Overall, from my point of view, learning about another nation through a TV program or online might be expedient and inexpensive. On the contrary, there is a magical feeling associated with travelling abroad that cannot be perceived through the media, which makes it a necessary experience for everyone who has the opportunity to go overseas.
