康奈爾大學是常青藤盟校中第一所實行性別平等的男女合校大學，在招生錄取上最早實行不計身份，不分信仰和種族的原則。其辦學理念影響了全美高等教育，辦學規模為當時全美高校之最。康奈爾大學采用公私合營的辦學模式，最初以農工學院起而后逐漸擴展到理工、經管、文理、農業、獸醫、建筑、教育、金融以及傳媒等領域。

截止2020年10月，共有61位康奈爾大學的校友或教研人員榮獲諾貝爾獎，位居全球高校前列。

地理位置

主校區位于美國紐約州伊薩卡，距離紐約約四個小時的車程，湖光山色，風景秀麗。

另外在紐約和卡塔爾多哈已有校區。1898年在紐約曼哈頓建立康奈爾大學醫學院;2011年底在紐約曼哈頓開始建設康奈爾理工學院(Cornell Tech)，并于2017年9月正式招生，與伊薩卡主校區的工程學院、商學院、法學院聯合培養跨學科的計算機、人工智能、金融工程和運籌學、網絡安全、高科技管理和法務等方向的實用人才。

2001年由康奈爾大學以及卡塔爾基金會(Qatar Foundation)在卡塔爾首都多哈的大學城，共同創立Weill康奈爾醫學院卡塔爾分校，頒授醫學博士學位。

標化要求

* 語言成績：

1)托福(含在家考)：不得低于100分;

2)雅思(含Indicator)：不得低于7.5;

3)多鄰國：不得低于120;

4)PTE：不得低于70;

5)Cambridge C1Advanced或C2 Proficiency：不得低于191;

如果SAT閱讀語法部分超過35分(總分40)，或者在美國或以英語為官方語言的國家的高中就讀4年，可申請免除提交語言成績。

需要注意的是，康奈爾大學并不免除在非英語國家就讀英語學校的學生的英語語言成績要求。

* SAT或ACT：

1)由于疫情關系不強制提交，但如果提交，不要求提交寫作成績;

2)SAT可以拼分，ACT不能拼分;

3)確定注冊后，需要發送官方成績單。

根據往屆錄取學生的資料，平均GPA為 4.05，SAT均分在1400-1550，ACT均分在 30-34。
