1. 分析考試

任何考試都有自己的特點，在考試前，要充分了解考試的基本信息，包括考核目的、難度、詞匯、題型設置、題量、考試時間、考試形式等基本信息。這很容易做到，也就是要熟讀教學大綱。

2. 分析自己

在掌握了考試的基本信息之后，需要對自己做一個仔細的分析。分析自己和考試之間的差距，了解自己的弱點。針對一些薄弱環節，需要一個一個地突破它們。

3.尋找復習材料

在完成前兩項任務后，就有必要開始尋找復習材料了。這個環節也很重要，因為它可以讓復習事半功倍。在大多數英語考試中，復習材料首先是歷年試題，其次是被廣泛認可的模擬試題和練習冊，這些練習冊通常由一流的考試老師編寫或由一流大學和語言培訓機構出版。

4.逐個突破

按照第二步的順序，需要將薄弱環節進行特殊練習，逐個突破。練習的量并不是練習過程中最重要的事情，關鍵是要隨時總結。
